Data & credits

Map geometry: Natural Earth, via World Atlas. Map boundaries are a dataset representation and may be disputed. India’s northern outline follows its claimed boundaries, matching the supplied reference, using DataMeet’s composite boundary (CC0). Adjoining map geometries have been clipped to avoid overlaps.

Country names, regions and base capital data: mledoze/countries (license). Flag artwork: flag-icons (license).

The new quizzes use the 193 UN member states, plus the Holy See and Palestine. The original world map retains its 239 countries and territories. Russia appears in both Asia and Europe; the Asia quiz also includes Taiwan. Other countries follow their source dataset region.
